Transcarioca Trail
Tijuca’s National Park is divided into three visiting sections - Forest, Serra da Carioca e Pedra Bonita/Pedra da Gávea - and offers activities options for everyone, from picnic and barbecue area to hang gliding, climbing, trail, and others. Between the most famous postal cards of the country, it has the Corcovado, where’s placed the Cristo Redentor (one of the new seven wonders of the world), Pedra da Gávea, Vista Chinesa (Chinese Viewpoint), Lage Park, Paineiras, and Dona Marta Viewpoint. The Horto Waterfalls and Transcarioca Trail, all presented in our catalog, are also relevant attractive points of this location.
The implementation of the biggest urban trail of the country is an initiative from the Mosaico Carioca de Áreas Protegida (Carioca Mosaic of rotected areas) and represents a symbol of the union between the three spheres of public power. The route starts at Barra de Guaratiba, and follows to Morro da Urca, integrating six conservation units, Tijuca’s National Park included. Along the way, there are natural attractions not very known of the city and unveil the marvelous city from unusual angles.
