Cemitério dos Ingleses
Located in Gamboa, the British Burial Fund was founded in 1811 and is one of the oldest open-air necropolises in Brazil still in operation. Shaded by centuries-old vegetation and historic tombs, the cemetery offers picturesque settings and a rare perspective on the Carioca landscape. The space has an area of about 11,000 m2, a chapel, mixed bathroom, parking on the sidewalk in front of the Cemetery, 10 blocks of active tombs and an inactive block.
