Joatinga beach is a small strip of sand surrounded by rocks between the Barra da Tijuca and São Conrado neighborhoods. The access is through a residential condominium and there is a parking lot. When you arrive, it is necessary to go down a trail to reach the small beach, and on high tide days, the beach is inaccessible, because its strip of sand is covered. The sand is white, and the clear water sea allows for both surfing and swimming.
