Productions wishing to film in public spaces designated as heritage sites by IPHAN (National Institute of Historic and Artistic Heritage) or in their surroundings, such as the Pequena África region, must follow a specific procedure.
In addition to submitting the request to the Rio Film Commission, as required by the City of Rio’s filming authorization process, it is mandatory to obtain IPHAN’s “no objection” approval via email.
