Estúdio Giz
Estúdio Giz is an audiovisual production company founded in 2014. Based in Rio de Janeiro, the company works in the development and production of projects for TV and cinema in partnership with independent creators.
It is the producer of the feature films "Sem Seu Sangue" (2019), by Alice Furtado, with world premiere at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival Directors' Fortnight, and "Paulistas" (2017), by Daniel Nolasco, with world premiere at the "Next Masters" competitive showcase of Dok Leipzig 2017.
It is co-producer of the feature films "La Otra Forma" (2022), by Diego Felipe Guzmán Ramirez, with world premiere at the Annecy Film Festival 2022, "Como Matar a Besta" (2021), by Agustina San Martín, with world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival 2021, "A Alma Quer Voar" (2020), by Diana Montenegro and "Canto dos Ossos" (2020), by Jorge Polo and Petrus de Bairros (Best Feature Award at Tiradentes Film Festival 2020).
Estúdio Giz is also the associate producer of "El Auge del Humano" (2016), by Eduardo Williams, winner of the Golden Leopard in the "Cineasti del Presente" showcase at the Locarno Film Festival in 2016.
In addition, the production company has 13 short films in its catalog, screened and awarded in more than 40 film festivals, such as FICUNAM, Havana Film Festival, Tiradentes Film Festival, Queer Lisboa, among others.
