Flávio Augusto Falcão Neto
Flávio Augusto Falcão Neto is a journalist, musician and screenwriter, sommelier, and Gastronomy student. Born in Rio de Janeiro, he is 61 years old. He has worked in the press for 27 years, having worked in large circulation newspapers and magazines. He worked as coordinator of Social Communication of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Rio de Janeiro. Between 2014 and 2018, he participated in numerous courses on screenwriting, humor, character building, bible editing and pitching, at the Centro de Artes Laranjeiras (CAL), ESPM, Levante42 and Telezoom. Between 2010 and 2014, he took basic and advanced sommelier courses at the Brazilian Association of Sommeliers (ABS). He is currently in his third semester of Gastronomy at Estácio. He is one of the scriptwriters of the second season of the comedy series Republic of Peru (Amazon Prime and TV Brasil/2019). Is co-writer of the feature film "Cuba ou Nada", (with Sônia Rodrigues), approved by Ancine, in pre-production phase. He signs screenplays of works approved by Ancine: the action series "Piloto de Fuga", in Prodav 5; and the documentary series "Como jogar o segundo tempo", in Prodav 2, for TV PE, of Pernambuco. Winner of the OEI (Ibero-American Organization) New Screenplays contest, with the feature (historical comedy) "Pedro Terceiro" in 2020. He won the Rota Festival 2018 pitching, with same project "Pedro Terceiro"; and the Rota Festival 2019 pitching, with the series project Insanso (drama). He was a finalist in the Series School with the projects "Insano" and "Van Filosofia" (comedy); and in the Audiovisual Ideas Market of the São Paulo International Film Festival, Regional category, with the script of the feature film "João e Bob" (children's feature). As a journalist, he has been a reporter, writer and editor in big newsrpapers in Rio de Janeiro such as: O Globo, Jornal dos Sports, O Dia, Extra and Expresso. He worked as a reporter on websites and at Placar Magazine, in addition to holding the position of communications coordinator at the Rio Public Prosecutor's Office between 2015 and 2016.
