Marise Farias is an editor and director. During her childhood, she used to visit film sets at her father's production company, R.F. Farias, where her father, the director Roberto Farias, worked. As a teenager, she started creating her first fiction short films on Super 8. Marise worked at TV Globo as an assistant director, directed and edited several documentaries for Canal Brasil, and directed three short films.

She directed, wrote the script for, and edited the documentary about her father, Roberto Farias, titled "Memórias de um Cineasta" (Memories of a Filmmaker), which was selected for the official competition at the 2023 Gramado Film Festival.
